| Friction clutch & brake unit
Premier machine tools manufactures united brand pneumatic clutch and brake made of mechanically interlocked design, which assures an efficient and shockless power transmission, it is of low inertia type mounted on a rotating flywheel. No clutch mass has to be accelerated or de-accelerated at start or stop. This type of clutch permits higher cycling and makes more flywheel energy available. The air system is automatically synchronised the engagement of the clutch at the instant the brake is released. Electro-pneumatic control to the clutch can be set to off, once continuous and inch operation and can be operated by two palm buttons or foot switch. Quick in operation by reason of short piston travel and low volume of air, which is exhausted through muffler, it reduces the noise of the machine.
