| Spectrochem instruments manufactures wide variety of special accessories and instruments for use in analytical chemistry, medical and biotechnology, lab and process automation, environmental engineering. The company provides latest portable spectrometers and water quality kits. The digital hand held spectrophotometer from the company comes with technical specifications like 340-850 nm wavelength range; cuvette- plastic disposable 10 mm path length; light source-10 w halogen lamp; wavelength calibration-with d2 lamp, factory set no moving parts permanent; detector-either silicon photo detector or diode array/ecd depending on target customer requirement; and power source-6 v ni-cd cells rechargeable with ac 220. Some of the salient features of the water quality kits from spectrochem instruments include the tests are for short term, presumptive tests, giving chemical and biological quality of the water being tested; must be based on good scientific basis; must indicate whether water is safe to drink; must indicate whether certain important parameters are with in the permitted limits; it must be easy to conduct and must give reproducible results; it should be economical; and any person would be able to conduct these tests.
