Precision standard testing equipment corp introduces a horizontal tensile testing machine, model hercules ii. This is operated through hydraulic transmission of load from the test specimen through pressure transducer to a separately housed digital load indicator. Load is applied by a hydrostatic ram. The transducer gives the signal to the electronic display unit, corresponding to the load display unit and to the load exerted by the main ram, simultaneously the digital electronic encoder fitted on the standing unit gives the signal to the electronic display unit. Both the signals are processed by the microprocessor and load is displayed on the digital readouts simultaneously. Mechanical drive is used for capacities up to 10 tonnes [hydraulic drive up to 60 tonnes]. The control panel consists of a power pack complete with drive motor and oil tank, control valves and electronic display unit. The electronic display saves the maximum load in its memory that can be retrieved at the press of a button. These machines are closely controlled for sensitivity, accuracy and calibration.
