The mpod harnesses the power 01 wireless technology and solve the most complex last-mile. Problem in the shop floor. This technological innovation is driven by powerful embedded system and a unique operating system, delivering a lot of benefits. It claims to put advanced production monitoring light years ahead. The mpod solve of the complex `last-mile-problem` of linking the shop floor with the top floor. It is designed and created by cadem`s team of engineers who have worked hard to provide stunning productivity features within the reach of every machine user. Shop track and the mpod make a powerful combination to help measure and improve productivity of machines. Launched at a three-day productivity summit organised by the imtma on `unleashing the power of productivity in metalworking` in april 2006, features of mpod are: log productivity data for tpm, inspection data, and data for traceability of parts, interfaces with any machine- cnc or non. Cnc, wireless communication, ruggedised for shop floor use, safety measures to protect cnc system, easy to use menu driven operator interface, display operator alerts for inspection and maintenance, and display tool life-monitoring alerts.
