Rotating electrial connectors are execilant to conventional slip rings and come with sealed ball bearing construction. These connectors have a better reliability with no maintenance cost; and extremely low electrial noise with less than 1 milli ohm resistance. Its compactness is perfect for instrumentation, robotics, thermocouples, cable reels, strain gauge, packaging equipment, turntables, testing and control devices, windmills, and heated roller-packaging operations. This connectors communicates between rotating plc and stationary mmi without any disturbances and is suitable for heated roller applications where exact temperature control can be completed for, e.G., blister pack, lamination rollers, etc. Mercotac connectors are also available for flameproof operations for gas group ha and hb. It comes in coaxial and modular series. Coaxial series connectors are smaller and less expensive for low power operation. Modular series connectors are larger, heavy duty and comes up to 8 conductors. Mercotac connectors are developed to mount on the end of the rotating object and can be joined by thermal/pvc isolator.
