| | About Accent Controls (p) .ltd. | | | Company Profile | Accent is India`s leading Position Sensor Company. It has arguably the widest range of Position Sensors in India.
Founded in 1985, it is one of India`s earliest manufacturers of Proximity Switches. These are manufactured with technology from Kastl Electronic, Germany and conform to the IEC 60947-5-2 standard.
In addition, Accent exclusively represents in India three MNCs engaged in Position Sensing, Novotechnik & Wenglor of Germany and Contelec of Switzerland.
Lastly, Accent`s design team is currently handling several design outsourcing projects - Consumer, Industrial and Defense - from Indian as well as foreign companies.
With 4 offices and 26 distributors, Accent`s products and application support are available all over India.
Accent has a wide client base covering India`s best known companies in Automobiles, Machine Tools, Packaging, Pharmaceuticals, Plastics, Printing, Steel, Textiles etc. It is also the only Indian manufacturer of Proximity Switches to receive approval from Indian Defense.

| | | Management | Mr. K B Mansharamani, an Electrical and Mechanical Engineer, has over 40 years of experience in the management of a diverse range of enterprises. He has started numerous joint ventures with leading German companies including Degussa AG [for the manufacture of furnaces], LOI - a part of Ruhrgas AG [also for the manufacture of furnaces], Keramchemie - a part of SGL Carbon AG [for the manufacture of pickling plants and acid regeneration plants] etc. He is currently a director of several public and private companies including Nirvan Keramchemie [P] Ltd. and R G Keswani [a company which represents several leading European and Japanese companies in India, including Elektrisola, ETA, Nittoku etc.]. These two companies are part of the group to which Accent belongs.
Mr. Anil Mansharamani, an electronics engineer with a Bachelor`s Degree from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science [BITS], Pilani, India and a Master`s Degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, has over 15 years of management experience. He is also involved in the running of three other group companies.

How we build quality into our products
Products are designed for reliability. Aside from functionality and performance, reliability is expected from and built into each new design.
Components are sourced from major semiconductor manufacturers like Motorola, Raychem, Siemens etc.
Inward inspection of all components is done on a sampling basis.
Automatic machines solder over 90% of joints.
100% inspection of each product both in process and post production.
100% burn-in testing.
Strict control over environment [mains voltage, dust, temperature, humidity, static electricity etc.]
Mass use of Surface Mount Technology [SMT] for greater reliability.
All production and quality personnel are periodically trained by specialized external agencies
Approvals/Certifications
Accent`s manufactured products conform to the IEC 60947-5-2 international standard.
Its DC Inductive Proximity Switches carry the CE mark.
Its intrinsically-safe Proximity Switches conform to BIS 5780.
Accent is the only Indian manufacturer to receive Defense approval for its Proximity Switches. For the past nine years we have supplied thousands of switches to Defense.
