• Add to Inquiry Basket | Pumps & equipment corporation provides locking devices. These locking devices are used for shafts and hubs that eliminate the keyways, set screws and other techniques that require machining by locking a hub onto a shaft, with simply the turn of a nut. These devices contain two counter-opposing collets and a nut. The inner and outer elements have matching opposite tapers. Keyless shaft couplers expand within the hub and contracts on the shaft, locking everything in the place. The couplers are ideal for high impact or reverse torque application. Besides eliminating machining opertions, the couplers relax hub tolerance, permitting the use of commercially finished shafting. Straight bores and relaxed tolerances permit the use of less expensive shafting. Smaller diameter shafts and bearings can be used with equl strength and stiffness because of the coupler`s rigidising effect and the elimination of keyways. The couplers can mount a component in any radial or axial position, accurate timing can be achieved in few seconds. They are ideal for all types of machineries, instruments and oem`s devices. |
