• Add to Inquiry Basket | Ifm electronic manufactures the efector octavis vibration sensor, with integrated rolling element bearing and machine diagnosis based on frequency analysis. State-of-the-art industrial monitoring of rolling element bearings has up to now been restricted to the intermittent measurement with handheld measuring instruments, and to expensive central measuring systems, which due to their enormous acquisition costs only make sense economically, for monitoring expensive machines like turbines or large gears. Using efector octavis, the permanent monitoring of small machines and components is possible for the first time, without losing the diagnostic quality of expensive systems. Damage to rolling element bearings is detected before it arises. The bearing monitor sets the switching output and indicates damage progress with yellow leos. The operator is able to take preventive action. Progressive damage to the rolling element bearings is signalled via the second switching output and is indicated via the bearing monitors` red leds. The operator should react at once. The basic parameters are set at the pc. Via the rs 232 interface data such as type of bearing, rotational speed and input/output function are transmitted to the efector octavis. By pressing a pushbutton on the sensor the reference conditions of the machine are taught-in after mounting. Two versions are available: the unit with the article no vb1001 monitors up to two different rolling element bearings. The unit no ve1 001 can be used for monitoring up to twenty different frequencies. |
