Pegasys systems has introduced a new product ideally suited for straightening of shafts in man production operations. The machine is completely programmable and can be set up for straightening of shafts requiring a bending load of up to 2t. Higher tonnage systems can also be built on request. The machine will measure run out at the set point, calculate and executive corrective bend. The run out is measured by an lvdt and the correction is done by a servomotor driven press. The machine will typically complete three interactions for correction in under 30 seconds. User-friendly operation methods allow changeover to another shaft family in under10 minutes.
