Acrabond adhesives supplies ultra violet rays curing type instant glue. Transparent acrylic resin is cured instantly when exposed to uv light of 200 400 nm wavelength. It uses typical intensities of 10 mw/cm2. This comes in two grades:
1] acra bond grade 50 - it has optical clarity;medium viscosity 50 cps acrylic resin used especially for bonding glass to glass instantly. Tensile shear strength expected is 16 n/mm2 [2250 psi]; and
2] acra bond uv coloured resin - coloured acrylic resin used for making transparent glass into designer coloured glass of various shades in red, yellow, blue, green or its combination.
