Elongation test apparatus mainly consist of two grips provided with suitable grip and jaws for holding specimen.One of the grip is fixed with base whereas the other grip is capable of moving in oppposite direction and parallel to the axis mechanism operated by h hand or by electric motor through reduction gear box if required elongation is measured on a scale over which a pointer fixed on moving grips the apparatus is nicely painted and bright parts are chrome plated.
