| Empire machine tools manufactures high precision vertical double column machining centre `kmc sd/sv series, m series` and high speed vertical double column machining centres `dv series`.
kmc series of machining centres are state of art heavy duty machining centre series for large size dies & molds application.These machining centers are available with technical features like:
y- axis design- the y axis step design utilize a superior design whereby the lower slide-way is offset out by 70 mm from upper slide-way. This design can greatly enhance the rigidity of headstock by bringing the center of gravity back into upper support.
spindle- the spindle head comes with spindle driven through helical gearbox which gives massive power and torque to the spindle and thereby makes it excellent for heavy-duty cutting. The entire spindle and transmission units of these kmc series machining centers are cooled by constant circulation of oil through a refrigeration unit equipped with thermostat. This greatly reduces thermal growth of headstock and increases the life span of spindle and transmission.
spindle head assembly - the entire spindle headstock assembly is counterbalanced by a hydraulic cylinder for ensuring consistent smooth and even movements of the z-axis without overloading the servo drive motor.
control - the kmc machining centers are supplied with fanuc 18imb as standard control with heidenhain itnc 530 as a option.
