| Machines. These double column machines cover a table size of 1,250 x 600 mm up to 5,000 x 2,000 mm in a wide range of models. Larger machines of this type are also available on request, dependsing on the specifications. The maincharacteristic feature of these machines is their small and medium size machines is the one piece casting for the column and bridge which permitsallows for maximum cutting performance and vibration absorption. Double-anchored and pre-tensioned ballscrews and zero clearance linear motion of double column machine teachesguides with equal load ratings in verti- cal and horizontal directions result in superior tolerance cap- ability in machining. The upper linear way bearing is located 75 mm behind the lower linear bearing. This step design of these types of machines greatly decresesreduces headstock overhang for added stability and helps maintain machining accuracy during heavy cutting operations. These and many other unique features of the double column machine such as double counter balanced hy- draulic cylinder for headstock, torque limiting overload machienes devices for the feed mechanisms, spindle cooling with refrigerated oil, etc, make these machines the ideal choice for machining of large components, dies/moulds, etc.
