| Amis engg works has designed and developed a fully automatic pneumatically operated and plc controlled eps shape moulding machine. The inputs required for the machine are compressed air, water and steam and single-phase 220 v ac 50 hz power. The air pressure required is in the range of 4-7 kg/cm2. Best quality of indigenously available inputs have been used in this machine. The major bought out items are air cylinders, solenoid valves, proximity switches, plc, mmi, pu tubing and connectors, etc. This machine is far superior when compared to automatic or manually operated machines available today in the market. Manually operated machines give 70-90 cycles per shift depending on the product size and shape, etc, whereas these machines can give a minimum quantity of 150-180 cycles per shift depending on the product shape and complexity. Pre-heating, cross steaming, etc, has been provided as standard feature in these machines. The timings for various operations can be set very easily depending on the requirements. Ten to eleven programs for different products can be stored in the memory and can be recalled whenever the product comes back for repeat production. The machine has a selector switch for manual, semi-automatic and automatic modes of selection. In automatic mode there is no need for an operator to do anything except observe the machine operation. The major advantage of these machines is that one operator can comfortably handle atleast two machines. Two models are available for a maximum product size of 945 x 1,100 x 200 mm and 1,050 x 1200 x 250 mm.
