| Vertical submersible pumps are very useful in chemical industry where hazardous or corrosive chemicals are to be handled, and the gland leakage is unwanted. It is a good self-priming pump as the pump portion is dipped into the liquid and it effectively handles effluent, acids, pickling solutions, and solvents from underground storage tanks. Polyquip supplies vertical submersible pumps in polypropylene, ci, ss-304, and ss-316 up to 2 metres in depth, and with capacities up to 30 m3/hr and heads up to 20 metres. The vertical pumps operate at the speed of 1,440 or 3,000 rpm and they can also be offered with vapour seal arrangements
