| Poly fluoro provides oil-free polymer bearings. Without lubrication, metal bearings will fail. These self-lubricating oil-free bearings are designed to replace metal bearings and bushings where lubrication failure or shortage causes premature shaft wear, poor product life and high warranty costs. Oil-free bearings are made from fluoropolymer compounded resins having formulation for lubrication-free service with both ferrous and non-ferrous mating surfaces, over a wide range of temperatures [-200°c to +250°c]. Pv factor up to 0.35 n/mm2 can be easily achieved without any noticeable wear traces. Oil-free bearings offer pv factor upto 0.35 n/mm2 in continuous use in dry conditions, without any noticeable wear traces and 0.70 n/ mm2 m/s with extremely reduced wear rates. For intermittent use in dry conditions, pv value up to 1.70 n/ mm2 m/s is possible. In highly corrosive environmental conditions, in presence of low lubricating fluids, or in case of humidity, oil-free bearings are the ideal solution. The application areas of this kind of bearing includes automotive components, textile machines, packaging and packing machines, machine tool and machine for food industry, dry reciprocating compressors, valves and solenoid valves; bearing and sliding pads. These bearings offer excellent replacements to du/dx type metal-backed ptfe impregnated bearings. These are available in standard stock bushings or bars.
