| Mech -tex offers range of unidirectional and bi directional synchronous motors. Bi-directional motors find applications in motion control as reversible drive in valve actuators, dampers, recording instruments, machine automation, etc. At 0.5 rpm these motors have the following torque: mtr5: 50 kg-cm, mtr4: 150 kg-cm, and mtrd4: 300 kg-cm. Reversible motors can be used in high torque unidirectional applications. The direction is determined by means of either electrical shading or a mechanical stopper. The motor with electrical shading has less power due to electrical losses. Hence it is used in timers, chart recorders, hour meters and drives of lower speeds. The common speeds are 1 rpm, 4, 2, and 1 rph, 1 rpd, 1 rpw, etc. The motor with mechanical stopper [reverse running stop] is used in applications of higher speeds. The common speeds are 120, 60, 30, 10, 6, 2, 1, etc. The reduction gearboxes combined with synchronous and stepping motors, ensure a precise motion in numerous fields of drive technology synchronous motors when coupled with a suitable gearbox can give speeds ranging from 1/2 sec/rev to 168 hr/rev [60,30,10,6,2, and 1 rpm, 1 rph, 1 rpd, 1 rpw are some of the speeds].
