| Hydrodrive systems and controls manufactures fluid couplings suitable formaterial handling equipments and electrical motors of ratings 0.5 hp to 500 hp. Many fluid couplings are in operation with critical material handling conveyors at various coal and fertilizer psus and even with isro mobile service tower swing door mechanism used for the pslv rocket launch pad, after bureau veritas - france, certification for space application worthiness. The fluid couplings are manufactured in hollow shaft design and self supported design to eliminate misalignment of the revolving unit withthe connected drive members and for offering extended life for the bearings, oil seals. Units are also supplied with integral pulleys or suitable for mounting standard pulleys available in the market. Fluid couplings brings down the heavy in rush current during motor starting, slips on overloads to protect the motor and overloading of the gearbox and the machine. The no load starting and gradual smooth acceleration extends the conveyor belts life. Fluid couplings are also used in other applications such as textile machines, fans, blowers, centrifuges, sugar machines, bagasse conveyors, rake elevators, wire drawing machines, paper machines, cranes, fork lifts, crushers, ball mills, rubber mixing mills for electrical energy saving, smooth start and overload protection.
