| Fine finish organics has developed fineset -ad 947, which is a single component epoxy adhesive offered in powder form. The powder can be dusted over surfaces to be jointed and then cured after holding them together, at 150 deg c. The cured adhesive is resistant up to continuous operating temperature of 180 deg c. As it is a single component system, there is no hassle of weighing and mixing. Normal contact pressure is adequate while curing. Viscosity of the adhesive decreases considerably on heating and this leads to proper flow of the adhesive in the joint surface. It is an ideal bonding compound suitable for manufacturing powder-magnets, diamond polishing wheels, ceramic blocks, etc. Fineset-ad 947 powder has to be mixed with powders of ceramic, magnet, and metals compacted for sintering and then baked.
