| Gemini power hydraulics has manufactured a self-ejecting canister of lubricant called greasomatic. The self ejecting canister is designed to screw into a grease nipple socket or other lubrication point, and discharge its contents into a controlled continuous flow, for a pre-selected period of between 1-12 months. It is completely self-contained and needs no pump, electricity or compressed air. Once fitted and activated it will work without supervision or attention until the completion of its allotted lifespan. Mechanism of the grease applicator: each unit has a flexible rubber expansion chamber containing a liquid electrolyte and a galvanic element. Injecting the galvanic element into the electrolyte activates the unit. The resultant gas expands against a piston which extrudes the lubricant slowly but surely into the bearing to which greasomatic is fitted. The hermetically sealed chamber prevents contamination of the lubricant. An indicating ring visible through a transparent window allows monitoring of the discharge state. The relief valve gives warning about blocked grease ways by opening up and letting the lubricant come out. Greasomatic is the most simplest, efficient, cost effective and economic way of applying grease to bearings. Finds application in lubrication of all types and sizes of bearings.
