| Pin bush type flexible coupling from new grand engg. Corpn. Is very user-friendly because of their simple mechanism and trouble-free service. It is a cushion type coupling. The flexible coupling absorbs shock loads, damps torsional vibration and houses slight angular parallel and axial misalignments, singly or any combination, which generally arise due to heavy shaft loading by belts, variation of temperature, settling of machining foundation, etc. Both the coupling flanges of the coupling are crafted with superior quality cast iron and the pins that transmit torque are manufactured from high tensile steel. The coupling`s various components like pins, nuts, spacers, washers, etc, are anti-corrosion plated for rust prevention. The bushes, which are the flexible versions of the coupling, are produced from good quality rubber with nylon liner to remain immune to water, dust and general industrial conditions. These bushes made of special rubber are applied where oil, grease, acid fumes, excessive heat, etc, are present. Though both the coupling flanges can be mounted on driving or driven shafts, normally pin side flange is preferred for driving side. These pin bush type flexible couplings are normally supplied with pilot bore. Twenty-two sizes of listed couplings cover total power range of 0.50 kw to 250 kw at 100 rpm.
