| The grand engg corpn provides mechanical variable speed drives this variable speed drive is provided withconsist of variable speed pulley, adjustable base plate, variable speed belt and driven pulley. The automatic variable speed drives are primarily intended for use where fairly frequent speed changes are necessary like textile machines, machine tools, packaging machines, autoclaves, agitators, printing machines, bottling plants, pumps for viscous liquids, biscuit and tea processing lines, conveyors and feeders. Various constructional features of these speed drives which include; the grand variable speed pulley of speed drive is double diaphragm type spring loaded pulley which . This assembly comprises two facing cone shaped discs each sliding laterally on a sleeve and two diaphragm shaped springs which comprise outer side of cone shaped discs. Through the medium of an equaliser bboth halves of the pulley move through the meium of an equiliser, which ensure perfect alignment of the variable speed v-belt at all speed settings. Two adjusting nuts are fitted oon outer side of the sleeve two adjusting nuts are fitted which . This adjusting nut helps to adjust spring load on the cone shaped flanges for enhanced variable speed v-belt life. An adjustable motor base with operating handwheel with the help of which motor and pulley assembly can be easily moved forward or backward through this change in the centre distance between driving and driven shaft is the only control which is needed required for regulating the speed which . This suppliesprovides versatility to a machine by enabling the right speed in changing conditions in production, reduced manufacturing costs, better and uniform quality of products.
