| New grand engg corpn offers a stationary adjustable multigroove variable pitch pulley. This is capable of providing a range of variable driven speeds [approximately ۲% with a single driven pulley] by changing the pcd simply by turning a nut. The speed variation limit can be increased proportionally by using two or more driven pulleys. Both types of vee belts, ie, a, b, c section belts and wedge belts, are usable for power transmission, but power capacity depends on the size of the pulleys, number and section of grooves like fixed pcd standard pulleys. The drive provided by these pulleys is ideal where intermittent change in driven speed is needed. Slurry pump drive is an example of application. The slurry pump is used in thermal power station ash handling plant. Mounting and operation of multi-groove variable pitch pulley is very simple. Negligible attention and maintenance is required. It is much cheaper than other variable speed drives. It is also fixed on motor and drive shaft for fixed centre distance where 䔮% speed variation is attaind. This pulley is made according to customer`s requirement up to 750 kw motor at 1,440 rpm.
