| Purvi products offers franchise for starting electroless nickel plating plant. Electroless nickel plating is a nonconventional plating system where no electric current is used for deposition. As no current is used, plating on intricate parts with holes and deep recesses can be done with an uniform layer thickness. There is no excess build-up at the edges or at corners and hence post-plating grinding operation is eliminated. The plating layer is amorphous and corrosion protection is superior to that of equal thickness of electro deposited nickel. The surface hardness is of 48 to 62 hrc with excellent bonding and the plated layer does not flake-off. The plating can be done on selective areas, smaller parts difficult to plate individually can be hard plated in a barrel and buffed to mirror finish. Electroless nickel plating offers superior corrosion protection, uniform and controllable layer thickness, wear resistance high surface hardness, nonstick property for plastic moulds and extrusion dies, solderability, ductility and lubricity. Electroless nickel is the fastest growing coating for protection of oil and gas production equipment and tools. It is ideal for complex shapes where uniform and controllable plating thickness is not possible by conventional electroplating process.
