| Sandvik asia limited, titex division, provides a new range of high performance taps that have been specially developed to machine this ever increasing range of difficult to cut materials. This special solutions range of taps, combine the very best in tool material, cutting geometry and surface treatment to guarantee high productivity and increased performance. Components that are made from titanium alloy, though very light in weight, are often subjected to high levels of stress. This is particularly the case in components used in the aerospace industry, which have to be as lightweight as possible. Machining titanium is a problem for conventional tooling because not only is it very strong but it also has elastic properties which can result in the tap binding in the work piece. Titex ti special taps are the perfect solution to this problem.
