Lmw provides horizontal machining centre ooty - 40. This machining center is best suitedfor heavy duty material removal. The machine is supplied with covers on all sides including an overhead cover for the machining area. The atc and the apc are in separate enclosures. To allow heavy duty machining free of vibration, the machine employs a heavy duty double tube bed and a triangular column construction. Some of the technical features of this machining center include: the spindle is driven by a stepless direct drive ac 7.5/11 kw spindle motor so that a lot of power is available over a wide speed range. The tool change time is only 1.5 sec; tool - to - tool is 4.6 sec, chip - to -chip. Apc time is about 6 sec only. Most of the sequenced operations take place simultaneously. E.G. Rapid traverse and table indexing or atc / apc operation
