Hi-life machine tools offers centreless grinders. These are useful for through feed grinding of various metallic and non-metallic cylindrical parts and plunge grinding of profile jobs with high accuracy. These centreless grinders come in different models with 4-inch and 6-inch [heavy-duty] wheel width, thus useful for grinding workpieces of dia 0.7 to 150 mm. These grinders include following features :
- bed equipped from close grained graded cast iron casting adequately ribbed;
- grinding wheel spindle runs in oil immersed white metal bush bearings;
- regulating wheel spindle runs in precision taper roller bearings;
- dc drive of regulating wheel for infinitely variable speed;
- hardened and ground feed screw with micro feed for high repetitive accuracy;
- swivel of regulating wheel head in horizontal plane for taper correction and grinding taper jobs;
- swivel of regulating wheel head in vertical plane for through feed grinding;
- separate hydraulic dressing units for grinding and regulating wheel featuring steplessly variable dressing speed;
- straight and profile dressing possible with help of templates; and
