| Sparkweld engineering manufactures a range of capacitor discharge stud welder model scd-06/08 series and drawn-arc stud welder model sw-12 which are solutions for precision and stud welding. These machines are highly adaptable for the process of welding studs, pins and fasteners to overcome the conventional method of bolting, tapping, hand welding or rivetting. Cd welding comes as an perfect way out when reliable and accurate welding necessary during fabrication of control panels, automobile body building, rail coaches, testing equipments, insulations or any other such crucial applications. These stud welder has low voltage electrostatic storage system wherein the weld energy is stored in a capacitor bank of high capacitance. The cd-studs or fasteners contain small, specially engineered tip at the weld end as the welding gun is activated to start the welding sequence, the energy stored in the capacitor bank is discharged through the small tip, which rapidly distintegrates, create an arc which heats the surfaces of the stud and the work piece. The stud welders are easy to operate with no specialised skills requisite and give better design and production flexibility which are free from deformation, burn-through and marking; readily portable or bench mounted ensuring leak-proof fasteningand saves time, labour and cost. These stud welders are highly versatile and can function on 220 v, 50 hz ac. For ms, ss and brass studs a contact gun is used and gap gun is used for aluminium and titanium studs
