| Shiv machine tools offers herbert-smith high speed all geared precision lathes manufactured in compliance with european standards [ce] with superior quality and features as compared to any similar machine in its class. Model 6341/6246 is an extra heavy duty sized lathe with a swing over bed of 410/460 mm and distance between centre of 1000/1500 mm run with as 5/7.5 hp, 3-phase electric motor. Dynamically balanced spindles enables the spindle to run at speeds from 25 2000 rpm. Industion hardened guideways have better wear and tear resistance and superior performance. Hardened and ground gears enhance the life of the all geared head. Machines are supplied with a single piece-casting base for extra rigidity and feature a custom-set auto-feed disengagement system. 50 kinds of dp thread in addition to a wide range of british and metric threads can be cut. These machines are supplied with foot brake system, coolant equipment, steady rest, follow rest, 3 jaw chuck, 4 jaw chuck, chip tray, splash guard, reduction sleeve, machine lamp, thread dial indicator, change gears and face plate. Options include 1 or 2-axis dro [digital read out] system taper turning attachment and quickchange tool post.
