| Keyence range of fibre-optic sensors [fs2/fst-series] are very small and can detect virtually anything anywhere. Over 48 sensors and 5 amplifiers are in the series to meet each and every application in the production lines. Each sensor is unique and was developed based on real applications. Sensing the objects moving at 50 micro-seconds of time separation is quite simple. All the settings can be made by the operator on the amplifier or through external equipment with a convenient feature especially when amplifier is inaccessible. Multiple amplifiers can be set at one time, thereby reducing setup time. High-flex cable, thin sleeve, heat resistant, liquid level, co-axial fibre and teflon-sheathed sensors are available for different applications. Both pnp and npn open-collector output are available and are compatible with any make of plc. Some of the sensors can be used in applications subjected to high dust, high temperature and harsh environment [water, oil and chemical splash]. These sensors can detect any target, regardless of its size, colour, finish and can be used to detect colour marks, water level, threads, etc. Highly reliable and precise applications include target positioning, water level detection, registration mark sensing and sensing threads on screws/bolts. Bendable sleeve and high flex cable sensors can go into the places that are inaccessible with conventional photoelectric/ proximity sensors,hence virtually eliminating sensing problems in limited spaces and inaccessible areas. Automobile, packaging, electronics, food, mechanical components are few of the many industries where these sensors are used.
