| Imi machine tools offers quick change tapping adaptors. The quick change tapping is possible with or without features like radial parallel float and length compensation on tapping chucks and safety clutch and length adjustment on tap adaptors. These chucks and adaptors are useful on transfer lines and multi-spindle machines. Due to appropriate design and using suitable materials, a stable tool holder with a very small outside diameter of chucks are resulted that makes them suitable for working in single and multi-spindle machines, either for vertical or horizontal applications. The chucks consist of a ball bearing length compensation device, which compensates for the machine feed and tap pitch variance.
