| Balluff india provides a new front panel interface unit, msdd, from murrelectronik gmbh. This kind of modular front panel interface unit is mainly suitable for harsh environments. Control cabinet builders, machine builders and process automation, increased safety is required regarding the connection between peripheral devices and the system. Msdd makes connection while the cabinet door is shut. Data-loggers, printers or monitors can be easily and safely connected. While making these connections the cabinet door does not have to be opened. Msdd is a modular system consisting of three components. Housing, power socket and interface module can be combined depending on the different requirements. This makes it possible to connect different external devices. Whether it is sub-d, vga, ps2, rj45 or keyboard socket, the msdd is the solution. External devices can be supplied by an integrated power socket. Power sockets are available for the european and american market. Additional equipment like emc protection or lockable lids makes the msdd even more flexible. The company also offers the msdd in a metal version. The metal version compared to the plastic version has higher mechanical ro-bustness and better chemical resistance. Even at high ambient temperatures and a usage in harsh environments the manufacturer promises the highest protection regarding to the ip65 rating.
