| Videocon has recently launched power inverters with unique slx technology. Fully imported from the usa, they are being marketed in india by india oa systems ltd., a videocon group company. These inverters have been launched currently in selected leading cities like new delhi, lucknow, kanpur, indore, mumbai, bangalore, hyderabad, chennai, cochin, ahmedabad, and vadodara. This power inverter is an electronic device to provide back-up power in case of power failures. In the event of a power failure, it instantly senses the loss of mains power within 2-4 milliseconds and switches onto battery power. When the mains power returns, it switches over and recharges the battery simultaneously. This inverter can run pc, tv, fax, fans, tubelights, refrigerators, etc, at the same time. It is safe, clean, fumeless and noiseless as compared to a kerosene/diesel powered generator, thus making it ideal for offices, shops, clinics and homes. This inverter is available in 400, 750, and 1,250 wattages. Videocon has plans to manufacture this product in india itself in association with its american partners.
