M.L. International offers Medium Carbon Grade High Tensile Steel Strapping. M.L International offers a wide range of packaging machinery and materials. The Medium Carbon Grade High Tensile Steel Strapping is the combination of cold rolled medium carbon & high manganese steel strappings. These strappings are heat treated with a special process to achieve a combination of fine surface & controlled physical properties with high strength & good shock resistance. The Mechanical Properties of these strappings are that the tensile strength of the strapping is 90 KGS/ square mm to 120 Kgs/ square mm with 6.5 percent on 150 mm gauge length elongation per minute, the length of the camber is 12.7 mm max on 2.40 mtrs length with 2 bends and the curl is max 25.4 mm on 2.40 mtrs in length, with 30 deg max on 2.40 mtrs twist in length. The maximum proportion of chemical components in these strapping is Carbon [0.45 percent], Manganese [1.60 percent], Sulphur [0.05 percent], Phosphorus [0.04 percent] and Silicon [0.35 percent]. The sizes vary from 16.0 mm to 31.75 mm with thickness ranges from 0.58 mm to 1.12 mm, however special sizes can be manufactured with minimum quantity of 20 MT. The width of the tolerances is + / - 0.127 mm with +0.05 mm to -0.025 mm thickness around. The strapping is 1.3 microns minimum thick painted in Standard Brown / Black Colour / Zinc Coated paint and the wax is lubricated for ideal corrosion resistance and also to improve the tension transmission around all corners of the package. The weight of the strapping coil is 45 to 55 kgs with Ribbon wound sizes ranging from 31.75 mm to 19.05 mm in width and the Mill wound sizes ranges from 19.05 mm to 12.70 mm in width. The inner Diameter is 400 / 406 mm and the outer Diameter is 550 to 670 mm. The strapping Jumbo coils weights 225 kgs and the Super Jumbo Coils weights 450 kgs.
