Industrial Grade Calcium Carbonate has apparent density from 0.35 to 0.44 gm/ ml, particle weight medium diameter of 3.8 micron, and surface area by nitrogen adsorption of 6.9 ml/ g and settled volume of 4.8 m/ g. The Carbonate has pH from 8.5 to 9.0, is soluble in alkali less than 0.15 %. The Carbonate has moisture of 0.4 maximum, fineness residues on 75 micron. The Carbonate and is offered in bright white colour and has magnesia as MgO less than 0.6%. The Industrial Grade Calcium Carbonate is insoluble in hydrochloric acid less than 0.4%.
