Exhaust India offers Diesel Oxidation Catalysts. The Diesel Oxidation Catalysts are specially designed to meet today`s and tomorrow`s global emission standards. These are also known as Catalyst Converter or Catalyst Exhaust Mufflers. They do not require addition of fuel additives or secondary fuel injection. The other features of the Diesel Oxidation Catalysts are as follows:
Oxidation takes place in lean exhaust
Flow through system, particulate is not physically filtered out of exhaust
Reduce PM by 30-50%; also reduce HC and CO [turn into CO2 and H2O]
The catalyst coating helps to chemically oxidize soluble portion of PM only
No reduction of the insoluble portion [soot]
Amount of removal is dependent on make up of particulate
Does not require a dedicated heat source
