Boiler blow down heat recovery for furnace oil preheating application is a part of energy savings equipments. In this the boiler blow down is collected in a vessel and waste heat of the same is used for preheating of furnace oil. Following are the advantages of this system:
Waste heat of blow down & contaminated condensate is used for preheating of boiler feed water or indirect preheating of furnace oil.
It reduces the steam consumption in deaerator or decreases the fuel consumption of the boiler and reduces the electrical load for furnace oil preheating.
Avoid loss of water due to blow down flash steam.
