| Hi-tech engineers provides model 4 oil grabber for removing oil from water and water-base solutions. The oil-grabber is applicable as pre-treatment before filtration in conjunction with coalescing systems. In order for removing up to 20 gallons oil/hour from fluid surface the machine uses a continuous belt and wiper that is operated on a motor and pulley system through contaminated liquid for picking up oil from the surface. The oil grabber belt requires no bearings and does not need to be fastened to the tank. The optional tether and cage assembly prevents the tail pulley from being dislodged in case of turbulent conditions. Oil skimming makes use of the differences in specific gravity and surface tension between oil and water. These physical characteristics of the oil grabber allow the belt to attract oil and other hydrocarbon liquids from fluid surface. The model 4 can be used in tanks with depths as shallow as 1 foot or as deep as 100 feet.
