• Add to Inquiry Basket | Automatic electric provides dynamometric single-phase & three-phase power & power factor meters. Application of these dynamometric instruments are mainly for measurement of active, reactive and absolute power in single-phase for balanced load and three-phase systems for balanced/unbalanced load conditions. Watt, var and va instruments incorporate current coils, which are connected in series with the load and pressure coils of fine wire gauge which are connected across the load. Principle of working of these dynamometric power factor meters is based upon on air cored electro-dynamometric principle. Power factor meters incorporate two pressure coils, one with non-inductive resistance in series and other with capacitance in series and are cross connected. The deflecting torque produced is proportional to the phase angle between current and voltage vectors. The pointer rests anywhere on the scale when the meter is not connected in the circuit, as there is no controlling torque. Features include linear scale, side zero or center zero available; sheet metal [black painted] housing; and shrouded terminals to protect from accident [on request]. |
