The sdf flow sensors are strong and dependable pitostatic tube sensors for gaseous media; saturated and superheated steam, and highly corrosive chemicals/liquids. The salient features of these sensors include: very low weight innovative structure, low flow resistance, extremely high long-term accuracy, insensitive to contamination. They can also be used with high temperature [1,100°c] aggressive media are available for internal pipe diameters from 35 mm to 6,500 mm, and with different material composition. The minimum components needed for a complete sdf flow measurement with density correction are: [1] sdf-sensor; [2] 3-way manifold; [3] differential pressure transmitter; [4] square root extraction element [mostly integrated in the transmitter]; and [5] density correction through pressure and temperature measurement and corresponding compensation calculation for gas, steam or liquid. The lse-hd scavenging facility for sdf-sensors can be incorporated while being used in highly dust-laden environment. It prevents blockage of the bore holes thus, resulting in correct measurements. These sdf flow sensors can be extensively used in thermal power plants; chemical plants and other process plants.
