Snowtech equipments offers falling film vaporators. The liquid in falling film evaporators flows vertically downwards along with the vapours [parallel flow]. The liquid is fed in the calandria from the top. Liquid distributors are provided which distributes the liquid in thin film in every tube. The liquid, which is in form of thin annular ring, accelerates as it descends inside the tube due to gravity and drug of the vapour. The vapour and liquid enters into centrifugal cum mist separator where vapour rises through the top and are condensed. The concentrate falls from the bottom. The evaporator operates at low temperature difference < 10°c. Liquid distributors are suitably designed for proper distribution. Residence time in these evaporators is in few seconds. Reticulation loop is provided to acid wetting and to prevent dry spot in the surface. Multi-effect evaporators can be provided for steam economy or better wetting rate.
