Harting, provides products for connectivity and industrial networks technology and develops customized connectivity solutions and products.
The harting technology group specializes in the fields of electrical, electronic and optical connection, transmission and networking, as well as in manufacturing, mechatronics and software creation. It has now joined hands with ept company for new products for advanced tca and micro tca sectors. This connector is designed to meet the mechanical and electrical requirements of picmg [pci industrial computer manufacturers group] amc.0, but with a press-in interface. The inclusion of the press-in option is scheduled for the next revision of the amc.0 specification. The new advanced mc connector supports the high data transmission rates and low cross talk required by the amc.0 specification. The optimized footprint enables an easy routing.
The use of 0.55 mm plated pcb holes provides robust and reliable press-fit mounting. The new press-fit design was optimized to provide significant cost and reliability advantages over other termination technologies. The press-in process allows the use of a standard flat rock die, thus requiring no special tooling. The connector is also available without pegs for applications, in which the atca guiding system is not desired.
