| Nish automation offers sewage-lifting stations automation. This is a very critical process as it involves lt/ht pumps and inefficient operations lead to overflow of drainage system, which creates serious health hazards. Advantages: consistent operation of pumps; efficiency monitoring and deciding on maintenance schedules; equal usage of pumps helps prevent failures due to over utilization; centralized monitoring and synchronized operation of multiple pumping stations connected to a sewage treatment plant; reports generated are useful for executives to alleviate infra structural pressures. Automation of sewage lifting stations is carried out with dedicated rtu systems having all types of pump control strategies to achieve accurate and efficient operation of the pumps. This is based on level of wet well, which is tested with the help of ultrasonic non-contact measurement. Pumps are operated with complex logics of alternate duty and service ratio wherein pump duties are rotated; taking care of operation time, to keep sequential operations, wherein equals usage of all pumps is achieved. Pvc systems take care of electrical interlocks and energy consumption of individual pumps to calculate pump efficiency.
