These motors comes in a range from 6 to 90 w. Motors of 150 w with straight shafts are also available. By machining accurately helical gears, immersed in a grease bath a low noise geared motors can be achieved. Coming to the dimension of the motors which is compact square frame sizes from 60 to 90 mm. The various types available are single-phase/three-phase induction motors, single-phase reversible motors, motors with terminal boxes, ul rated motors, electromagnetic brake motors and variable speed motors. The variable speed motors are fitted with a built-in tacho-generator, which enables speed control from 90 to 1,400 rpm. These motors can be fitted with a variety of gear heads with output speeds from 500 to 0.75 rpm which are fitted with ball bearings or metal bearings. The assures 5000 hr while the latter offers 2,000 hr of continuous operation at rated load 8 hr per day. The gear ratio varies 3:1 to 2000:1, while maximum permissible output torque for a 90w, 200:1. Ac geared motor is 300 kg cm. Suitable analogue digital controllers for speed variation, with soft start, soft stop and reversible operation features are available for geared and ungeared motors. Dln48 size brake units can be offered, for operation with induction, reversible and brake motors. These type of ac geared motors find applications in textile printing, pharmaceutical and packaging machinery, conveyor lines, vending machines and other automation equipment too. |
