The paddle torsional flow meter type dpt from kobold messring gmbh, works with practically no wear. A flat torsion spring, to which the paddle is fastened, provides the elastic force, and forms the basis of the patented method of measurement. The deflection of the lever arm is transferred non-contacting through a magnet to a hall-effect sensor. This new technology has important advantages: the devices operate independent of the operating pressure. Friction loss during paddle deflection causes no switching hysteresis. Measurement errors caused by deposits and soiling are also avoided.
The very reliable measuring instrument is ideally suited for monitoring continuous, average and strong liquid and gas streams. The devices for liquid and gaseous media differ with regard to measuring ranges and scales only. The fourteen measuring ranges range from 5-30 l/min to 850-1900 l/min in water and 10-50 nm3/h to 450-2800 nm3/h in air.
The devices can be connected to machine controllers and other automation/control systems with different outputs from different electronics. There is a choice between compact electronics with 3-position leds or convenient and versatile adi electronic analysers.
The robust aluminium bronze and stainless steel cases are designed for a maximum operating pressure of pn 40. Protection type is ip 65.
