| Automatic electric manufactures synchroscopes that are categorised in two types, i.E. Electro-mechanical and electronic. These synchroscopes are available in two models, viz, sy96m and sy144m. They incorporate a pointer and led to indicate synchronising condition. If the generator [ii] frequency is higher or lower than that of mains [i], the pointer rotates in clockwise or anti-clockwise direction respectively. The speed and direction of rotation depends upon difference in frequencies, which guides the operator to speed-down the generator. Synchronising condition is determined by dark lamp method, wherein the pointer coincides with synchronising mark and the led does not glow. The led glows in accordance with difference in phase, frequency and amplitude of voltages. When the pointer is towards the bright led, it indicates the antiphase condition. Features include: rugged construction, easy serviceability, wide operating voltage range, etc. Some of the technical features include: voltage at synchronism 110v ±2 per cent; operating voltage of 110 v ±20 per cent; frequency 50/60 hz ±5 per cent; accuracy of 2-degrees; angle of rotation 360-degrees; insulation resistance greater than 20 mohms at 500 v dc; and humidity up to 95 per cent rh.
