| Dhakar engineers introduces ultrasonic digital thickness gauge [model de-pt-04], for precisely measuring the thickness just from one side. This can be used on all types of solid materials like steel, cast steel, cast iron, aluminium and other metals, hard plastics, glass, ceramics, etc, with perfect accuracy of â±0.1 mm. The measuring range can vary from 1 mm to 300 mm. Specified range depends on test material and transducers. It includes applications for assessing wall thinning due to corrosion/erosion in pipes, pressure vessels, storage tanks, heat exchangers, etc; for checking dimensional accuracy of castings, forgings, steel plates, etc; for detection of defects like lamination, voids, bubbles, etc. Ultrasonic thickness gauge is portable, battery operated, non-destructive and gives instant thickness. It works remarkably well even on rough curved surfaces and does preventive maintenance by early detection to avoid consequential losses. It can be used by unskilled operators.
