| Autonics manufactures a wide variety of proximity sensors catering to the different needs of industrial automation. These are available in different shapes like cylindrical, flat pack, rectangular, square shape etc with various sensing ranges. M8, m12, m18, m30, 17 square, 12 square, 25 square, 30 square, 40 square, 50 square, 80 square are the typical dimensions available with autonics. Both flush and non- flush types are available. Another choice is with connector version and cable version. The company also offers weld field immune type sensors. In this sensor, enhanced noise resistance is achieved. The hot arc from arc welding machine is adhesive even with metals or plastics. So normal proximity sensor may malfunction even though there are no detection targets. The arc isn`t adhered on the detection surface of the spatter resistance type proximity sensor. Both ac and dc voltage type proximity sensors are available with autonics. Some typical applications include fixing the point to be welded [arc]; checking the position for spot welding on robot arm; turning table [transmission coupler]; to check whether the robot arm has detected the object or not.
