Constructional features of the capstan lathe include; : top slide movement100 mm, cross slide movement90 mm; angular movement of top slide- ±45°; height of tool point from top slide22 mm; and number of stops of each slide - 4. Lever tailstock details: diameter of quill 45 mm, bore of quill - mt-3 and movement of quill100 mm. The floor space required is 1300 x 500 mm and height of machine1250 mm.

The turret slide has hex shaped turret head with six tool holder holes of 19.05 mm [3/4] hole dia, and max useful stroke 100 mm. The max travel of cut-off slide is 90 mm, with swing over slide of 110mm.
