| Kirpekar engineering has developed new generation welding heads which are modular in structure and mounted on aluminium extruded sections based in designs from technax industries, france. These weld heads can be placed vertically or horizontally and have an arrangement involving movement of both electrodes by using low inertia cylinders which can be easily adapted as per requirement. These welding heads are normally manufactured by festo or smc. The linear movement is by using linear motion guides which ensures that movement is smooth without play. The company supplies these welding heads in large range of weld force beginning from 10 dn to 1300 dn. The lower electrodes of these welding heads can be fitted directly below top-moving electrode or at angle to the moving electrode. The electrode holders of these welding heads come in a unique design with quick coupling for inserting water-cooling tube from which water need not stopped at the time of replacing the electrode. Moreover the electrodes are in the form of a bit and there is no necessity to worry about tapers etc. These electrodes are clamped using brass lock nuts and the weld heads can be retrofitted onto any old spot/projection welding machine.
